New podcast episode: Tanz trifft Politik (Dance meets politics)

Madeline Ritter (Bureau Ritter) talks to Karin Heyl (Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Crespo Foundation) about the creative power of private foundations in funding cultural activities.

What do they do differently from public cultural funding and how do they contribute to social change through financial support? Together we will discuss the responsibility of private foundations to provide targeted support where public funding is often lacking.
We will also take a look at the new ‘Next Steps’ funding programme of Bureau Ritter, which is supported by the Crespo Foundation. It supports dance professionals in Hesse at all stages of their artistic career and will be presented on 21 October 2024.

Our guest Karin Heyl is an experienced cultural promoter who has been working in the field of private foundations since 1990. She was instrumental in setting up the Crespo Foundation and has first-hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities of private cultural funding.
